Why the light.

Most photographers chase the light. Omar M Hammouda waits until it’s almost gone.
His subject is the old city after dark: the arch of a bridge, the edge of a canal, a square emptied of people. He shoots in deep blacks, teal shadows and coral glow, and builds each frame like a plan, so the architecture leads your eye to one small, warm light.
He came to photography through thirteen years of design, and still composes the way a designer does: structure first, then the one detail that makes you look twice. Light, found in the dark is his first collection.

How much is a print?
Prices are on request. Write to me or use the inquiry form on any print, and I’ll reply within a day with the price for the next copy.
How many copies are there?
Five of each photograph at 24 × 36 inches, released in order. When copy 5 is placed, that edition closes for good.
How does it arrive?
Signed and numbered, with a certificate of authenticity. Shipping is free and insured in the US, and takes two to three weeks.
Do you take commissions?
Yes, for hotels, restaurants, developers and private collectors. Tell me about the place and I’ll send back an approach.
